Stormy Weather

Stormy Weather – Episode 1 introduces viewers to one of the first major conflicts of Season 1 of Miraculous. The episode begins with Aurore Boréale losing a viewer contest organized to elect a new weather girl for the Kidz Plus channel. After this disappointment, Hawk Moth akumatizes her into Stormy Weather, turning her frustration into a dangerous threat for Paris. 

As Stormy Weather takes revenge on the people who did not vote for her, Ladybug and Cat Noir must face powers that throw the city into meteorological turmoil. This makes Season 1 Episode 1 an important page for explaining the core conflict of the episode: a personal disappointment becomes a public danger, and the heroes must act quickly to protect Paris. 

The episode also connects the superhero action with Marinette’s everyday life. While Marinette is babysitting Manon and Adrien is doing a photo shoot in the park, Alya tries to help Marinette get closer to Adrien by looking after Manon. However, Stormy Weather disrupts these plans by trapping Alya and Manon beneath a dome of ice.
